Bill Goesling William (Bill) Goesling recently completed four years of service as a member of the board of trustees for the Moscow School District. Goesling served in the Navy for 13 years. After completing several oversees and stateside squadron tours as a naval aviator, Goesling was selected to attend the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. He earned his master's degree in systems engineering and acquisition management. Goesling worked for the Vought Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas corporations. Goesling served as an associate professor of naval science at the University of Idaho Naval ROTC Unit. After retiring, he earned his doctorate in education from the University of Idaho where he continues to teach a variety of business courses. Goesling is currently employed as an associate vice president financial consultant for D.A. Davidson and Company. |

Gayann DeMordaunt Gayann DeMordaunt was one of the original founders of North Star Public Charter School. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University. DeMordaunt taught Creative Movement in the Alpine School District in Utah, as well as English as a Second Language in the private sector. Before settling in Idaho, DeMordaunt and her family spent 10 years overseas in countries in the Middle East and Asia where she worked extensively with charitable organizations. She also served on the board of the American Women’s Association as vice chair. DeMordaunt is currently the State Executive Director for Family Leader Idaho, a non-profit, non-partisan family issues organization. She, and her husband, Reed, reside in Eagle and have six children. |

Brad Corkill Brad Corkill lives in Cataldo, Idaho and currently serves on the Kellogg School District Board. His longtime involvement in community affairs has also included service on the Shoshone Medical Center Foundation board, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee, and the St. Marie’s School District Board. Corkill is a strong supporter of both the traditional public school system, from which his own two children graduated, and the competitive atmosphere created by charter schools. A graduate of Oregon State with a degree in Forest Engineering, Corkill and his wife have owned Whiteman Lumber since 1988. |

Gayle O’Donahue Since graduating from Eastern Washington University with a degree in organizational and mass communications, Gayle O’Donahue has spent more than 20 years in corporate communications and education public relations. Her career has included such positions as communications director for the College of Idaho and communications and marketing director for Northwest Nazarene University. O’Donahue is a founder and one of the original board members of Victory Charter School. For the past several years, O’Donahue has balanced time between her family and community relations positions at Liberty Charter School and Victory Charter School while continuing work at NNU. She is proud that Idaho families now have a wide range of educational opportunities including traditional public schools, private schools, home schooling, and public charter schools. |

Alan Reed Alan Reed served on the Idaho Falls District 91 School Board from 1994 through 2003. For seven of those years, he served as chairman. He attended Ricks College and University of Idaho at University Place in Idaho Falls. Reed is the president and co-owner of Reed’s Dairy in Idaho Falls, which is a milking, bottling and sales company that manufactures ice cream and cheese. Reed has shipped his specialty dairy products nationwide and to Japan. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls and married his high school sweetheart, Holly. They have four children, all educated in District 91. | |

Esther Van Wart Esther Van Wart is the mother of eight children ranging in ages from 12 to 30 years old and a grandmother of nine. She was born on an Air Force base in Alabama and traveled the world before graduating from Ramey Air Force Base High School. She attended the Air Force Base University and majored in psychology. She is currently a public speaker and peer counselor for abused women. She has served on the Governing Board of Pocatello Community Charter School as secretary, vice-chair, and now chair. She helped form the Family Advisory Council and worked on the accountability team for the charter school's renewal. |

Nick Hallett Nick Hallett was one of the founders of ARTEC Regional Professional Technical Charter School and served as its director/principal for three years. He earned a Masters degree from University of Oregon and doctorate from University of Idaho. His experience includes public school teaching, university teaching and administration, and traditional school administration as principal and superintendent. As an enthusiastic advocate of school choice he has promoted traditional, charter, home, and private schools. Dr. Hallett is currently teaching education administration classes for University of Idaho, serving in Twin Falls and Pocatello districts as capacity builder in school improvement projects, and consulting as a grant writer and school reform resource. He lives in Rupert, Idaho where he spends a great deal of time in outdoor pursuits including fishing, hunting, gardening, and snowboarding with the Pomerelle ski patrol. |
