Bill Goesling

William (Bill) Goesling recently completed four years of service as a member of the board of trustees for the Moscow School District. Goesling served in the Navy for 13 years. After completing several oversees and stateside squadron tours as a naval aviator, Goesling was selected to attend the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. He earned his master's degree in systems engineering and acquisition management. Goesling worked for the Vought Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas corporations.
Goesling served as an associate professor of naval science at the University of Idaho Naval ROTC Unit. After retiring, he earned his doctorate in education from the University of Idaho where he continues to teach a variety of business courses. Goesling is currently employed as an associate vice president financial consultant for D.A. Davidson and Company. |

Joe deVera

A 19-year veteran in the financial services industry, Joe deVera current shares his financial and planning expertise as the chairman of the board for North Star Public Charter School located in Eagle. deVera recently joined Key Private Bank after 18 years of experience in financial services, investments and banking experience with Washington Mutual Bank and Wachovia Securities. He is a graduate of UCLA, with his BA in Political Science. deVera is a respected leader in Boise’s business and volunteer communities for organizations such as Junior Achievement of Idaho, United Way of Treasure valley, and Capital Youth Soccer. He is married to Emily and has four children.

Paul Powell

Paul Powell is the Chief Financial Officer at Intermountain Industries, a privately owned holding company based in Boise, whose business interests are primarily in the energy industry. He is also the CFO for its two major subsidiaries: Intermountain Gas Company and III Exploration.
Powell joined Intermountain Gas Company as Sr. Vice President in September 1999 after spending 15 years with Andersen Consulting, a leading international business and technology consulting firm. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University. Powell is the chairman of the Board and one of the original founders of the Hidden Springs Charter School. The school opened in August 2001 and currently serves approximately 375 students in grades K-9. Powell also serves on the Board of Directors for the Idaho Charter School Network, United Way of the Treasure Valley and the Intermountain Gas Industries Foundation. |

Alan Reed
Idaho Falls

Alan Reed served on the Idaho Falls District 91 School Board from 1994 through 2003. For seven of those years, he served as chairman. He attended Rick College and University of Idaho at University Place in Idaho Falls. Reed is the president and co-owner of Reed’s Dairy in Idaho Falls, which is a milking, bottling and sales company that manufactures ice cream and cheese. Reed has shipped his specialty dairy products nationwide and to Japan. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls and married his high school sweetheart, Holly. They have four children, all educated in District 91.

Ann Souza
Sandpoint

Ann Souza has worked as an English teacher, principal and chairman of the Bonner County School Board. Souza taught high school English in California for six years and was a high school principal and assistant principal for four years. Souza received her bachelor's degree in English and political science and her master's degree in school administration from California State University. She earned her Ed.D. in administration/business from the University of San Francisco. Souza is a member of the League of Women Voters and president of the Sandpoint branch of the American Association of University Women. An ardent volunteer, Souza was instrumental in developing the first Bonner County Domestic Violence Task Force. She is also a hospital volunteer and has served as a library trustee.

Esther Van Wart
Pocatello

Esther Van Wart is the mother of eight children ranging in ages from 12 to 30 years old and a grandmother of nine. She was born on an Air Force base in Alabama and traveled the world before graduating from Ramey Air Force Base High School. She attended the Air Force Base University and majored in psychology. She is currently a public speaker and peer counselor for abused women. She has served on the Governing Board of Pocatello Community Charter School as secretary, vice-chair, and now chair. She helped form the Family Advisory Council and worked on the accountability team for the charter school's renewal.
